Welcoming New Life: Jujubee’s First Litter at Birch & Bramble

At Birch & Bramble, every new litter is a journey - full of excitement, anticipation, and sometimes, bittersweet moments. Today, we want to share the story of our beloved queen, Jujubee, who recently gave birth to her very first litter.

This is an especially meaningful milestone for us. While it’s Jujubee’s first time as a mom, this is actually the second litter (Litter B) for Birch & Bramble overall. Each new arrival brings its own lessons and emotions, and we’re honored to witness and support every step.

The Arrival

On November 28, a quiet Friday night, our cattery was filled with anticipation as Jujubee began labor around 11 pm. She handled everything with the gentle resilience we’ve come to love about her. After hours of care and close monitoring, three beautiful kittens were born.

A Bittersweet Beginning

While we always hope for perfect outcomes, nature sometimes has other plans. Our firstborn kitten, despite our best efforts and Jujubee’s attentive care, sadly did not survive. It’s never easy to lose a little one, and moments like this remind us of both the fragility and the wonder of new life.

We believe in sharing both the joys and the challenges that come with responsible breeding. Each experience teaches us more about compassion, resilience, and the importance of providing the best care possible.

Growing Strong

The two remaining kittens—a lively male and a gentle female—are growing well. Right now, they spend most of their days cuddling together and sleeping, quietly soaking up Jujubee’s warmth and care. Playfulness will come soon, but for now, they find comfort in each other’s company and the gentle presence of their mom.
