Purr-fect Weekend: Our Star Cats at Pet Expo 2025 SMX

Some outings become favourite memories because of who comes along. For Birch & Bramble, our visit to the Pet Express Dog & Cat Expo 2025 was made especially memorable by Okinawa and Raven, our two feline companions for the occasion.

The expo ran from July 18–20, 2025, at SMX Convention Center Manila, Halls 3–4, in the MOA Complex, Pasay City. With pet brands, displays and fellow pet parents gathered in one place, there was plenty to explore and enjoy.

Okinawa and Raven join the adventure

Bringing Okinawa and Raven gave our visit a personal touch. They attracted smiles, attention and photo requests as we made our way around the expo, becoming the stars of our own little recap.

We loved seeing people stop to admire them and share their enthusiasm for cats. Those encounters were a lovely part of the day: a quick conversation, a photograph and the easy connection that comes from meeting another pet lover.

Our event photos preserve that experience in a way words cannot quite match. Looking back at them brings us straight to the energy of the expo and the pleasure of having our cats with us.

Exploring food, treats and cat essentials

The booths gave us a chance to browse cat food, treats, accessories and other pet supplies in one place. For anyone who manages a regular care routine, seeing different products together can make an expo an interesting opportunity to compare options and ask questions.

Promotions, bundles and samples were part of the appeal of the event. We enjoyed exploring what was on offer and looking at items that could fit our cats’ everyday needs. These were features of our 2025 visit; this recap is a memory of that occasion.

Beyond the shopping, browsing the displays was part of the fun. There is always something to discuss when a group of pet parents gets together around products they use, cats they love and routines they know well.

The people made it memorable

The community atmosphere was another highlight. Meeting fellow fur parents gave us time to exchange stories and enjoy a shared interest, while friendly conversations around the booths made the visit feel welcoming.

It was a reminder that pet events are about the people around the animals too. A casual chat can turn into a useful exchange, and a photograph with a cat can become someone’s favourite moment of the day. Okinawa and Raven certainly helped us start plenty of those conversations.

What we would keep in mind for another expo

Looking back, a little planning is useful when there is so much to see. If you are preparing for a future pet event, these are a few practical things to consider:

• Make a short shopping list. Start with the supplies you actually need so browsing stays manageable.
• Compare the whole offer. Look at pack sizes, expiry dates and bundle contents before deciding whether a deal suits you.
• Check the event’s current visitor guidance. Read the organiser’s pet-entry requirements before deciding to bring a companion.
• Leave room for breaks. Keep the outing comfortable and be ready to shorten the visit if your pet needs a quieter setting.

A weekend worth remembering

Our Pet Expo visit combined the enjoyment of exploring pet supplies with the warmth of meeting other animal lovers. Having Okinawa and Raven beside us made it feel like a Birch & Bramble adventure.
