Birch & Bramble at the 10th International Cat Show: Halloween at the Royal Canin Educational Hub
Share
Halloween brought an extra dose of personality to the 10th International Cat Show by WCF Philippines, hosted by SFepi at the Royal Canin Educational Hub in Cainta. Birch & Bramble joined the event with four of our cats, a festive setup and plenty of enthusiasm for a weekend among fellow cat lovers.
Between the judging rings, photographs and conversations around our tent, there was a lot to enjoy. It was a chance to introduce our cats, reconnect with the community and bring home memories of a show with a playful Halloween twist.
A Halloween welcome at our tent
We embraced the theme with cobwebs, pumpkins and playful decorations, turning our tent into a little Halloween corner. The photographs from the event capture that atmosphere, from the orange-and-black rosettes on display to exhibitors joining in with costumes and face paint.
Visitors stopped by to meet our cats and take photos, giving us time to chat with people who share our affection for them. Those moments around the tent were as much a part of the experience as our time in the ring.
Meet our four show companions
Our British Shorthair and British Longhair crew brought their own personalities to the weekend. Here is who joined us and the rings they entered:
- Okinawa: our British Shorthair chocolate boy, entered in the adult ring.
- Bubba: our British Shorthair silver shaded boy, also entered in the adult ring.
- Twinkle: entered in the kitten ring for her show debut.
- Carlisle: our British Longhair, entered in the junior ring and a lovely companion throughout the day.
Seeing them together was a proud moment for us. Each cat added something different to the experience, and we were grateful for everyone who took an interest in meeting them.
Moments from the judging rings
Okinawa and Bubba took their turns in the adult ring, while Twinkle experienced her first show in the kitten ring. Carlisle joined the junior ring and also attracted attention from visitors who wanted a closer look at his long coat.
Our gallery captures several parts of that experience: cats at the judging table, exhibitors presenting their companions, and a photo with a judge and a rosette. Together, these pictures help us remember the people and small moments behind the show recap.
For us, participating also means making time to observe and learn. Being surrounded by different cats, exhibitors and experienced judges gives us another opportunity to stay involved in the feline community and reflect on our own journey as a cattery.
The community beyond the competition
One of the best parts of attending a cat show is the connection it creates. We enjoyed meeting fellow breeders, pet parents and visitors, sharing stories and celebrating a common love of cats.
The Royal Canin Educational Hub gave us a setting for those conversations alongside the competition. The Halloween theme made the weekend feel especially welcoming and memorable, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the occasion together.
Thank you for sharing the experience
Thank you to WCF Philippines and SFepi for the event, and to everyone who visited our tent, cheered for our cats or stopped for a conversation. We are proud of Okinawa, Bubba, Twinkle and Carlisle, and thankful for the support surrounding Birch & Bramble.
