A Purr-fect Weekend: Birch & Bramble Shines at the WCF PFC International Cat Show

Happy, tiring and deeply fulfilling: that is how we remember Birch & Bramble’s weekend at the WCF Philippines by PFC International Cat Show. Held on August 16–17, 2025, at the Royal Canin Educational Hub in Cainta, the event brought us together with fellow exhibitors, judges and cat lovers for two days centred on our favourite companions.

We came home proud of our cats and grateful for the experience. Our photographs capture more than time in the ring: they show the people, preparation and little moments that made the weekend meaningful.

Proud moments in the show ring

Presenting our cats to the judges was one of the highlights. After the preparation behind the scenes, watching them take their turns gave us a chance to appreciate how far we had come as a cattery.

We were proud to receive praise and recognition from the judges. Just as valuable to us was the opportunity to take part, observe the judging and learn from the experience. Every show adds another chapter to our understanding of the cats we raise and the standards we work towards.

Our gallery includes photographs of cats being presented in the ring and examined at the judging table. These are the moments we are glad to have preserved: a closer look, an attentive handler and a cat at the centre of everyone’s attention.

The preparation behind the photographs

A show weekend begins long before the photographs. Grooming, presentation and making sure our cats are ready all take time and care. Our team worked together through those preparations and stayed focused on the cats throughout the event.

Between rounds, there was time to regroup, talk and enjoy one another’s company. Those quieter moments helped balance the concentration of the ring. They are a reminder that attending a show is a shared effort, with plenty happening beyond what visitors see at the judging table.

Cats with plenty of personality

Some of our favourite photographs are the least formal ones. A chocolate cat perched on a shoulder, visitors gathered around a silver cat, and exhibitors posing with their companions all tell a different part of the story.

They capture the affection behind the preparation. Our cats are individuals with their own expressions and habits, and spending the weekend with them gave us plenty of moments to smile about. The gallery below brings those memories together alongside the show-ring photographs.

Learning alongside the feline community

Cat shows give us time to meet people who understand the attention that goes into raising and caring for cats. We enjoyed connecting with fellow breeders and pet parents, sharing the occasion and seeing other exhibitors with their companions.

For Birch & Bramble, those connections matter. Being part of the community encourages us to keep learning, reflect on our practices and continue developing our cattery with care. The experience was rewarding because of both the cats and the people around them.
